Hollow is a web-based interactive documentary and participatory project produced by WVU alumna Elaine McMillion that examines the issues facing residents of McDowell county, WV. It won a Peabody award in 2013 and was nominated for an Emmy in 2014. Visitors to the exhibit can view Hollow and contribute their own words and photos to the project. The Libraries licensed and archived Hollow and plan to make extra footage available to students and researchers; it can be viewed at hollowdocumentary.com .
This exhibit will run from May 23, 2016 through June 30, 2017.
